Beautifully presented historic photo from Maple Leaf Gardens displays the image of Maurice Richard's 626th and final NHL goal. The Rocket's legendary goal-scorer's glare burns as bright as ever in this sensational 18" x 29" print of his record 82nd playoff goal originally displayed in the halls of the Maple Leafs' longtime home. All six players in the photo are members of the Hall of Fame - Maurice Richard, Tim Horton, Allan Stanley, Henri Richard, Johnny Bower and Dickie Moore - in this remarkable shot of the Rocket's last goal. Assisted by younger brother Henri and Moore, the goal came in a 5-2 win over the Maple Leafs on April 12, 1960 in the third game of a four-game final sweep that gave the Canadiens their record fifth straight Stanley Cup. It was Maurice's 34th overall in the Cup finals, a record that stands to this day and will likely never be approached. Tastefully displayed in black and white matte and mounted in a 27" x 38" black frame, this original print from Maple Leaf Gardens remains in excellent condition with minor surface marks and stains that would be expected from its years of exposure. A one-inch horizontal gouge at the level of Horton's head and another mark on Maurice's right shoulder are the most significant blemishes to note. This historic original photo of the Rocket's last goal is an incredible find.
