The Jacques Laperriere Auction - Fall 2008
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/21/2008
Talk about a piece of history, this vintage arcade game was made by United Manufacturing of Chicago. The game features two “skaters” and a goalie for each of the two players, with an “ice” surface on each side of the red line that slopes down toward the respective goal. The original players remain in working order, though some restorative work would be required to make it more than a great display piece. The board features the name “United Team Hockey” and “5 Goals for 2 Cents” marked in front of one goal and the original glass panel is cracked in half. It remains a remarkable piece of gaming history and, as is made clear by the wear, certainly saw its fair share of use in its heyday.
[red]Addendum; This large size arcade game measures 22 1/2 x 46 inches and has a height of 14 inches excluding the original wooden legs which are also included.[/red]
