The Toronto Maple Leafs won each of the franchise's 13 Stanley Cups during Conn Smythe's lifetime, most of them while he led the way with high standards and an iron grip as team owner. The force behind the construction of Maple Leaf Gardens, Smythe saw his team win its first Cup in 1932 before adding six more championships from 1942 to 1951, including an NHL record three straight from 1947-49. Smythe, who died in 1980, signed and personalized in blue ink this fantastic painting by artist Carleton "Mac" McDiarmid of the Maple Leafs great toasting another Toronto Stanley Cup victory. This outstanding Smythe portrait is signed "Mac" by the artist on its original 13" x 15 1/2" professional illustration board.
