It remains one of the most famous goals in hockey history. Bill Barilko scored the Stanley Cup winner for the Toronto Maple Leafs as all five games of the 1951 final were decided in overtime. This outstanding photo and autograph display includes an inset photo of Barilko’s goal with a silver-colored caption plaque beneath it describing the action. The ill-fated Maple Leafs defenceman’s plane disappeared later that summer as he was returning from a fishing trip and his body was not recovered for another decade. This sensational photo display includes original autographs from John McCormack, Fern Flaman, Sid Smith, Joe Klukay, Cal Gardner, Harry Watson, Bill Juzda, Howie Meeker, Fleming Mackell, Ted Kennedy, Danny Lewicki and Gus Mortson. An inset photo of Barilko’s goal with Bouchard and Richard and McNeil looking on has a silver-colored caption plaque. The plaque for the team photo lists the players’ names and the result of the final. Silver plaque with team members in photo listed and result of Stanley Cup final against Montreal. Mounted in a 35” x 24” wood frame, the display features a “skate marks on ice” silver matte with blue accent.
