The Jacques Laperriere Auction - Fall 2008
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/21/2008
Talk about an amazing display piece, this is the actual panel from the Hockey Hall of Fame where Team Canada’s famous “lucky loonie” from the 2002 Olympic Winter Games was presented to the public. The original Canadian one dollar coin was buried under the faceoff circle in Salt Lake City and retrieved by Wayne Gretzky after the Canadian women and men both won the gold. The 40” x 50” panel is translucent and perfect as a lighted display. It features photos of both of Canada’s teams taken on the ice immediately after their gold medals were presented. An absolutely one-of-a-kind display piece that will leave its viewers in awe.
