Dr. Ernie Lewis gathered all of this Team Canada memorabilia, mostly from the world championships, as a result of his lengthy career as the national team’s dentist.
A three-dimensional Team Canada logo crafted from Styrofoam and painted yellow, red and green is a kitschy representation of the national team’s curious logo of the late-1970s. This massive lot of curios includes over 40 Team Canada world championships pennants, including 33 from 1981 and eight from Moscow in 1979, a copy of “Hockey is Our Game” by Jim Coleman, a pewter mug from the 1983 World Hockey Championships with Hockey Canada logo button and engraved “Ernie Lewis”, a 45 rpm vinyl record with original album sleeve “Come on let’s play (…let’s play hockey)”, and a host of Labatt’s 1981 Canada Cup bottle caps, “The Best on Ice” bottle cap pins, Team Canada 1978 Carling O’Keefe pins, Hockey Canada pins, Team Canada 1977 buttons, Team Canada Canada Cup stickers, Team Canada 1977 stickers, small Hockey Canada embroidered crests, Canadian flag and red maple leaf pins and small embroidered crests and Canada’s national hockey team buttons. A group of 14 Hockey Canada pucks rounds out this collection that comes along with
Dr. Lewis’ signed LOA.
