The Jacques Laperriere Auction - Fall 2008
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/21/2008
Better known for his time spent in Montreal and then Toronto, “Bunny” Larocque closed out his NHL career with brief stints in Philadelphia and St. Louis. This vintage pro-molded mask has been attributed to Bunny Larocque and is painted in the color scheme of the Montreal Canadiens. The design is most certainly one fabricated by Lefevre who produced masks for many NHLers including Michel Larocque during the Seventies and well into the Eighties. The interior is lined extensively with a thin layer of cream foam padding and it does display game wear with puck marks and wear to the paint job. The blue painted back plate is intact and sports a painted number “1” and the mask retains its original straps and fasteners. Jacques Laperriere recalls being given this mask as a gift from Bunny and this info will be included in a letter. From the collection of Jacques Laperierre with his signed letter of provenance.
