The Jacques Laperriere Auction - Fall 2008
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/21/2008
Jacques Laperriere has two awards in his personal collection commemorating his first NHL goal, including one vintage trophy that features the actual original puck he used to record the milestone. The Official Art Ross National Hockey League puck features a black outline of the Canadiens’ familiar CH logo on an orange octagon. The milestone puck is mounted standing on edge on top of a standalone wooden trophy plaque that stands
9 ½” high and is about 9 ½” x 4” at its widest and has “Premier But 3 Nov. 1963 Rangers vs. Canadiens N.H.L. Jacques Laperriere” engraved on a gold plaque. The puck has a hole in the top edge where it may have been mounted previously and Laperriere has signed the back of this vintage trophy with a blue sharpie. This lot includes a more recent team-issued wooden plaque with a modern puck with the Canadiens’ logo that has been mounted on a blue metal plaque with a silver Canadiens logo painted red and blue enamel. The autographed plaque identifies the details of Laperriere’s first career goal and both items come along with his signed LOA.
