An absolute classic that surfaces from time to time and that is a prerequisite and cornerstone of a big-time Canadiens team photo display, this beer advertising is a colorized version of a Rice photo produced after the Canadiens had won their second straight Stanley Cup in the spring of 1931. Aurele Joliat and Howie Morenz are beside goalie George Hainsworth in the middle, with Gagnon, Burke, Lepine, Leduc, Mondou, Larochelle, Rivers, Wasnie, Lesieur, the Mantha brothers, coach Cecil Hart and Leo Dandurand the others grinning proudly. “We recommend Frontenac Export Ale” appears in both English and French and the 75+ year old relic has been preserved in outstanding condition in its original wooden frame which has “Frontenac” inscribed at both the top and bottom. Some very light and peripheral moisture stains are visible and detract little from the awesome image.
