Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - March 2007
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/27/2007
Sixteen members of the team that packed the Quebec Coliseum during the 1952-53 Quebec Senior Hockey League season autographed the shaft of this “CTC Professional Special” model stick, including a couple of legends. Jean Beliveau, the main reason patrons clicked through turnstiles around the league, and who fired 50 goals in 57 games before joining the Montreal Canadiens the following season, leads the way with a big beautiful flowing signature on the upper shaft. Coach and fellow Hall-of-Famer Punch Imlach’s sig and those of Jean-Guy Talbot, Gaye Stewart, Joe Crozier, Jack Gelineau, Ludger Tremblay and Yogi Kraiger are the other notables with Frank Mario, Pierre Brillant, Butch Houle, Ed Harrison, John Michaluk, Denis Smith and a couple that have us stumped completing the signing lineup. Ink signatures average 6/10 with the Beliveau the boldest/nicest. From a special time in hockey history-rich Quebec City!
