Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - March 2007
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/27/2007
Extraordinary memorabilia from the epic Canada-Russia Series features ballpoint signatures that were penned back in September of 1972 when the hockey world sat on the edge of its seat to witness an unprecedented egiht-game war! This 48-page program like the ones that were sold during the four games played in Canada was signed on the cover by the likes of Phil and Tony Esposito, Dryden, Cournoyer, Lapointe, Park, Pete Mahovlich, Ratelle and coaches Harry Sinden and John Ferguson. Other highlights include the sigs of the late Bill Goldsworthy and Gary Bergman. Also signing were Stapleton, White, Berenson, Dionne, Parisé, Redmond, Cashman, Seiling, Awrey, Glennie, Tallon and Eddie Johnston. The back cover meanwhile is where Paul Henderson, Frank Mahovlich, Bobby Clarke and Ron Ellis applied similar tough-to-hope-for-nicer autographs. “EX” condition program is signed by Alan Eagleson above his photo on page five and Mr. Eagleson will also sign a letter of authenticity to be included with this tempting treasure.
