Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
While not regularly associated with ice hockey and currently 23rd in the IIHF World Ranking, the nation of Japan has competed in both the Winter Olympics and World Championships, beginning with the latter in 1930, with their biggest win coming against Kuwait in 1999. Hailing from the collection of longtime Los Angeles Kings and Team USA trainer Pete Demers, we have a team-signed Japan National Hockey Team jersey from the late-1990s, circa 1998/1999. An IIHF label and Nike size "56" swatch remain affixed to the collar, with a larger IIHF label over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with a textured team crest along with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, approx. 24 have signed encompassing the team crest in black marker, with most adding their number. A signed LOA from Pete Demers will accompany.
