Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
Having his name engraved on Lord Stanley’s hardware an impressive ten times, Larry Robinson won his final championship as a player with the Montreal Canadiens in 1986. The Hall of Fame defenceman is currently a Senior Consultant to Hockey Operations for St. Louis, with the Blues triumph in 2019 Robinson’s tenth Cup win. We have a Larry Robinson 1986 Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup championship 10K gold and diamond sample ring. Size 12 ½ with an approx weight of 35 grams, 23 diamonds are mounted within a gold Habs logo over the tableau, with “Coupe Stanley Cup”, “Champions” and “1986” all encompassing in raised, sloping letters. A full colour enamel CH logo resides on one shank with “Robinson” above and “19” below in raised gold letters/numerals, while the opposite shank includes a raised Stanley Cup with “23” engraved, and “Canadiens” above, with a banner listing the Habs four playoff series wins. The interior band includes a stamped Balfour emblem and “10K”.
The ring exhibits moderate use with scratches over the bands and light additional wear to the shanks and along edges. There is also some minor discolouration to the interior band.
