Featuring the world’s best eight hockey nations battling for international supremacy, the 1981 IIHF World Championships witnessed a strong Soviet side capture their 17th world title, with Sweden serving as runner-up. Hailing from his personal collection, we have a team-signed stick issued to Stanley Cup champion and HOF star Lanny McDonald for the 1981 World Championships. A KOHO model with “McDonald” stamped, the original striping accents remain intact, with 24 signing the front side shaft in matching blue ballpoint including McDonald, along with Larry Robinson, Guy Lafleur, Mike Gartner, Steve Tambellini, Mike Foligno, Mike Rogers, Pat Boutette, Lucien DeBlois, Norm Barnes, John Ogrodnick, Dale McCourt, Willie Huber, Phil Myre and a few others, as well as coaches Don Cherry and John Ferguson. A signed LOA from Lanny McDonald will accompany.
