Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021

With Viktor Zhluktov the leading scorer and Bobby Orr taking home MVP honours, the 1976 Canada Cup was the first of five international tournaments that featured the world’s best competing hockey nations. The Canadians would claim gold, with this the first of two tournaments representing Canada during his career by Stanley Cup champion and honoured HOF star Lanny McDonald, and we offer a team-signed stick issued to the 1983 Bill Masterton winner for the tournament. A CCM model with “Canada Cup 76” graphics, “L McDonald” is largely stamped, with the original striping accent present but worn. Approx 28 have signed shaved-down areas on the front side shaft in blue ballpoint, including McDonald, along with fellow HOFers Lafleur, Orr, Savard, Sittler, Dionne, Esposito, Vachon, Perreault and others. The majority of the signatures are just a bit light but display beautifully. Hailing from his personal collection, a signed LOA from Lanny McDonald will accompany.
The additional signers include Rick Martin, Bob Clarke, Bobby Hull, Gerry Cheevers, Pete Mahovlich, Bill Barber, Larry Robinson and Bob Gainey, plus training camp attendees Jean Pronovost, Paul Shmyr and Dan Maloney, as well as a few others.
