Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Originating from netminder Kevin Weekes’ time with the Carolina Monarchs of the AHL in the mid-1990s circa 1995-96, we have a highly desirable and attractive goalie mask worn by the Toronto native. Made by “Eddy Masks” with their decal along the base of the backplate, the original strapping and interior padding remains intact, with “B. Ivens/95” appearing on the lower edge beneath each ear section. Featuring a wonderful folk art-style lion and crown rendering, there is some very minor soiling to the interior padding, with a few scratches, marks and surface abrasions to the mask as well as some surface rust along the two screws that fasten the cage along the base. There is also some crazing to the interior surface along the chin section.
