This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/28/2023
Playing with both the Seattle Thunderbirds and the Spokane Chiefs of the WHL during his junior hockey career, winning a Memorial Cup with Spokane in 1991, Jon Klemm would sign as a free agent with the Quebec Nordiques that summer to being an NHL career that saw him play 773 games over the course of 15-years in the league and win Stanley Cups with Colorado in both 1996 and 2001. Offered here, we present this Nordiques jersey worn by Klemm during his short call up to the team from Halifax in 1991-92 that was also recycled into the next season for his use and likely donned during pre-season play. Made by CCM, both size "54" and Maska Ultrafil labels are affixed to the inner collar while the CCM and NHL shield logos have been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with the Nordiques team crest in layered tackle twill, the French version of the Stanley Cup 100th Anniversary patch has been sewn to a piece of excess material and then sewn over the right breast while the NHL's 75th Anniversary emblem resides still affixed to the jersey underneath. Having had Klemm's number "42" sewn to the sleeves and verso in dual layer white-over-red tackle twill numerals, "Klemm" is spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate across the top of the back. Graced over the lower front and reverse as well as both shoulders by fleur-de-lys that are done in single layer white twill, the jersey shows just light game-wear via some stick marks over both sleeves while staining is present over both sleeves and the front along with sweat staining along the collar. Additionally, the fight strap on the interior remains clean and light fraying is seen at the edges of the elbow reinforcements.
