Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
The hockey world's top talent is well represented here with their engraved names running down the front of this thirteen-inch shimmering silver-plate grail. Sergei Fedorov's 20-point post season performance led a talented Motor City roster on to Stanley Cup splendor at the close of the 1997 campaign. His name appears etched into this award along with teammates Nicklas Lidstrom, Brendan Shanahan, Steve Yzerman, Igor Larionov, Larry Murphy, Vladimir Konstantinov, Chris Osgood and Mike Vernon. Detroit's owners, executives and coaching staff are also here including head coach Scotty Bowman. This example sports a brown felt base with the affixed Boffey manufacturer's sticker and is originally from the personal collection of John Wharton, the team's head athletic trainer. The trophy remains in near excellent condition overall and is identical in every way to the ones awarded to each player!
