Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2024

Combining to play a grand total of 1237 National Hockey League games over the course of their respective careers, John Kordic and Lucien DeBlois both suited up for the Toronto Maple Leafs during the 1990-91 season wearing this classic photo-matched blue and white garment at individual times during the year. Made by CCM with a largely washed out Maska Ultrafil label affixed to the inner collar, the jersey measures out to a size “54” and has had the logos of CCM and the NHL shield embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a familiar Maple Leafs team crest over the front with “Toronto Maple Leafs” embroidered into it, matching alternate logo patches have been added over each shoulder as well. Having had Kordic/DeBlois’ number “27” sewn to the sleeves and verso in single layer tackle twill numerals (worn by HOFer Frank Mahovlich and since retired by the organization), a nameplate with “DeBlois” spelt out across it in single layer white twill letters is affixed across the top of the back while evidence of the former Kordic nameplate is seen on the interior of the jersey in the same area. Exhibiting game-wear via stick marks over the body and sleeves, both sleeves also show board burns while a red board paint transfer mark is found on the lower reverse. With spot stains and sweat staining around the cuffs of both sleeves as well as the collar, the original fight strap remains affixed to the interior which also shows light pilling as well. Regarding the afformentioned photo-match, the jersey is matched with Getty Image #1344725564 (December 1st, 1990 vs Los Angeles) to the stick marks over DeBlois' right sleeve.
