Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
The first boxer to defeat Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier served as a top contender throughout the late-1960s before becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion in 1970. Frazier would conclude his career with a record of 32 wins, 4 losses and 1 draw. We have a limited-edition photo from his second bout vs George Foreman in 1976 signed by Frazier. Sporting a more intimidating image with a shaved head, Smokin’ Joe is pictured connecting with a right hook as a journalist visible along the base feverishly snaps photos. Frazier has signed above his image in gold, adding the fight date of “6/10/76”, with no issues for the large autograph. The limited-edition number of “9/250” has been handwritten along the bottom right next to a pair of affixed holograms including from Steiner, with a matching COA to accompany.
