Spending the bulk of his early career in his native Czechoslovakia with TJ Sparta CKD Praha, Jiri Hrdina won gold with his nation at the 1985 IIHF World Championships before making his NHL debut with Calgary, in 1987-88. This Calgary Flames jersey was worn by Hrdina in 1988-89 (Hrdina had previously dressed for only 9 games with the Flames in 1987-88). A faded Maska Air-Knit label is affixed to the collar, with the sweater measuring-out to roughly a size 52, with a CCM crest to the reverse hem. Styled with the classic Flames team crest fully administered in layered tackle twill, “17” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material, with "Hrdina" across the affixed nameplate. The collar has also been custom ventilated. Sporting a few puck and stick marks across the lower front including at the bottom of the team crest, there are additional marks to each sleeve along with pilling to the interior sleeves. An LOA from the Flames will accompany along with a COR from MeiGray.
