Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019

Number 2 behind just Wayne Gretzky for all-time points and one of the only players in history to score over 2,000 points professionally (NHL, KHL and CZE), Jaromir Jagr shined early on in his career, winning back-to-back Stanley Cup championships while scoring an impressive 126 points over his first two seasons. We have a photo-matched Penguins jersey worn by the superstar during his rookie era in 1991-92, a Stanley Cup championship season! A Maska label with handwritten “68” and a size “52” fly tag remain affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with the particular Penguins team crest with embroidered detailing that saw use from 1986 until only the end of this season, “68” appears over the sleeves and verso in oversized black-over-white tackle twill, with the NHL 75th anniversary crest over the right breast. There is also a Penguins 25th anniversary crest over the right shoulder and “Badger” memorial crest for Bob Johnston over the left.
A ton of puck and stick marks cover the front including the team crest, with additional marks, fabric pulls and burns over each sleeve. There is also a bit of staining over the lower reverse, with some light pilling to the interior. Getty Image #134876759 has been matched to the long black mark on the lower front of the jersey, and to the paler linear mark just above it, while an included numeric image has been matched to the top portion of the long black mark on the lower front of the jersey.
