Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
In 2010 Jacques Villeneuve expanded his NASCAR program by running three NASCAR Nationwide races in the #32 Dollar General Toyota for Braun Racing. In Elkhart Lake he started second and finished 25th, he then moved on to Watkins Glen where he started 6th and finished 8th. His last race of the season was at his home track, the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, where he put the car on the front row, qualifying 2nd and finishing 3rd. Alpinestars custom-made this suit to for Jacques to wear during the 2010 race weekends. The suit was made to Jacques' specifications with Dollar General and all the other sponsors stitched onto the nomex fire resistant suit. A small sewn-on tag on the interior has the inscribed suit specifics “JV –BR02 -10”. The stitching and placement of sponsor logos is consistent with images of Jacques during the three 2010 races. Please note that the helmet, gloves and boots shown in the pictures are for display purposes only and are not included. The suit is from Jacques Villeneuve’s personal collection and will come with his signed LOA.
