This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Idolizing future teammate and fellow defenceman Doug Harvey during his youth, Jacques Laperriere began his junior career with the Ottawa-Hull Canadiens in 1958-59, with the club later serving as the Brockville Canadiens (Junior Canadiens) in 1959-60. This 1959-60 Junior Canadiens gold team ring was presented to the HOF member. Size 8 ½ with an approx weight of 10 grams, a raised CH logo in gold sits over a bright blue stone on the tableau, with “Canadiens” engraved over the top of the right shank, and “JR 59-60” over the upper left. There is also a hallmark stamped to the inner band. Worn proudly by a youthful Laperriere before making his NHL debut with the Habs in 1962-63, the ring shows heavy wear throughout, with numerous scratches, dings and small grooves to the band and shanks. The CH logo over the tableau also shows tiny areas that are worn and uneven. Originating from his personal collection, an LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
