Prior to his long NHL career, defenseman J.J. Daigneault had a busy stretch playing for Team Canada at the 1984 world junior championships and competing for the Canadian national team, including at the Winter Olympics in Sarajevo. Great pair of jerseys includes a white jersey attributed to the 1983-84 world junior championships, where Daigneault wore No. 3. It measures out to roughly a size 50, though it is relatively short at 27” as measured from shoulder to hem. A red jersey attributed to the 1983-84 or 1984-85 seasons, when Daigneault played 62 games in each season for the Canadian national team. It is approximately a size 50. Comes with J.J. Daigneault’s signed LOA.
The white Canada jersey has Cooper size Extra Large and CAHA flag tags inside the collar. The Canada logo on the front is heat-screened vinyl, as are the red surname letters on the nameplate and the well-laundered Cooper logo on the right rear tail. The No. 3 on the back is sewn-on red twill. Game wear includes reddish-brown stains on the front tail and left shoulder, black marks on the left side of the back, and red paint transfer, board burns and marks on both sleeves.
The red Canada jersey has Cooper size Extra Large and CAHA flag tags inside the collar and measures 33” from the top of the shoulder to the hem. The Cooper flag tag has crumpled and fused into itself at the bottom, likely from laundering in the dryer. The heat-screened vinyl Canada logo on the front and No. 2 on the back have cracks/crazing with very minimal vinyl loss. The well-laundered Cooper logo on the right rear tail is also heat-screened. Game wear includes black marks on the right sleeve and left rear tail, board burns and small burn holes on the left sleeve, board burns on the left rear tail, and faint marks on the front hem.
