A member of Detroit's famed "Russian Five line" and arguably the greatest centerman ever produced in the Soviet Union, Igor Larionov spent 15 seasons in the NHL, winning a trio of Stanley Cup championships along with countless gold medals while representing Russia internationally. This Red Wings jersey was worn by the HOF superstar in 1998-99, where he appeared in 75 games. Center Ice and Nike size “54” tags are affixed to the collar, with additional Nike and NHL crests on the reverse bottom hem. Styled with the classic embroidered winged-wheel team crest, the solid white V-neck has been accented with attractive single twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Larionov” arching across the upper reverse in matching material. Hailing from the Michael Wexler collection, the team patch denoting the garment as a “2nd Set” example resides on the inside hem, with a COA from the Red Wings to accompany.
Hammered with great game use, there are numerous stick marks covering the front, with additional dark marks over each sleeve. Team repairs are present, testament to the garment’s prolonged use, with examples over the lower front and near/over the right elbow. A few fabric pulls over the front are also visible, with board burns over each sleeve.
