This personal William Masterton Memorial Trophy is the one that was presented to Chicago Black Hawks center Hubert “Pit” Martin, who in 1969-70 won the award presented annually to the NHL player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to ice hockey. A seven-inch tall torch rises from the middle of the 11’’-diameter gold-plate base of the trophy that has “William Masterton Memorial Trophy Winner 1969-70 Hubert Martin Chicago Black Hawks” engraved on it. The “Petersen” stamp on the bottom of the award references famous Stanley Cup engraver Carl Poul Petersen, and “E.P.O.C” refers to electro-plated copper. Comes with an LOA.
