Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2024

Drafted 210th overall by Detroit in 1999, Henrik Zetterberg would become a mainstay in HockeyTown, spending his entire 15-year NHL career with the Red Wings and serving as team captain his final six (6) seasons. Also suiting up in the familiar blue and yellow of Team Sweden on numerous occasions throughout his career, including at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games where he helped his country to a gold medal, offered here is this stick used by Zetterberg as a member of Team Sweden at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. An Easton S19 model twig with Sweden graphics seen throughout the shaft, "Zetterberg" factory graphics are seen under the blue cloth tape the has been wrapped around the handle/knob while Z's number "40" appears just underneath where the tape ends. Also retaining its original black tape job around the middle part of the blade, Zetterberg has signed over the forehand side of the blade near the toe with a black marker ink signature that displays well and without issue. Displaying good wear through a number of marks and abrasions throughout the entirety of the stick, we are not using "game-used" in the title due to not being able to find any photos of Zetterberg using an Easton S19 with the Sweden graphics during any games at the Games but he did use Easton S19's throughout the tournament. Hailing from the personal collection of Mats Naslund, his signed LOA will accompany the piece.
