Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021

Matched by only four other players including Gordie Howe and Wayne Gretzky as three-time-consecutive NHL scoring leaders, Guy Lafleur earned his three Art Ross trophies during the Montreal Canadiens epic Stanley Cup dynasty in the 1970s, including his second in 1977. Originating from his personal collection, we have Guy Lafleur’s signed 1976-77 Art Ross Trophy plaque. At approx 10 ¾” x 11 ¾”, the solid wood shield-shaped plaque with beveled edges features an affixed Art Ross Trophy replica along with mounted crossed hockey sticks and two pucks. An engraved plate at the base lists the details including “The Art Ross Trophy”, “Winner 1976-77” and “Guy Lafleur”. Sporting surface wear and oxidation to the metal components along with scratches to the engraved plate, the plaque remains in excellent condition and displays beautifully. The Flower has added a black marker signature to the reverse, with his signed LOA to accompany.
Lafleur would net an especially impressive 136 points in 1976-77 including 80 assists, with an additional 26 points scored during the Habs playoff run to the Stanley Cup.
