Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020

Sporting a molded fiberglass mask during his first NHL season with Edmonton in 1981-82, Grant Fuhr would evolve to the modern-style cage and mask, with numerous styles worn throughout his NHL tenure. This signed mask is a replica of an example Fuhr wore while with the Buffalo Sabres. Featuring a wonderful western theme and sporting a fully padded Styrofoam interior along with complete back plate, the artist Marlene Ross has signed over the lower left side, adding “99”, with Fuhr placing a thin gold signature adjacently. The mask exhibits some minor wear, with the polychrome surface blemish free, ideal for display.
