A six-time NHL All-Star, Grant Fuhr backstopped the Edmonton Oilers to glory during the club’s golden era, and was a member of five Stanley Cup championships. From the year the HOF netminder and teammates hoisted Lord Stanley’s hardware for a second-consecutive season, we have a stick used by Grant Fuhr in 1984-85. A CCM GCPX 1010 model with “Fuhr” stamped to the upper shaft in large letters, the original black tape is in place over the blade and lower paddle along with the white over the upper shaft and knob, with both striping accents mostly intact. There is also a date stamp of “12 Fev 1985” on the underside. Remaining completely solid, the heavy lumber shows great game-use with wear to the taped section of blade and marks to the paddle including red paint transfer, with some additional wear including to the graphics on the shaft. We should note that this type of model was used by Fuhr during both the regular season and 1985 Stanley Cup finals.
