Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
A spectacular specimen celebrating Mr. Goalie’s time in the Gateway to the West, we have a vintage St Louis Blues jersey worn by Hall of Fame netminder Glenn Hall during his final season in the National Hockey League, in 1970-71. This white dureen has Rawlings labeling with the Geisler-Jorgen tag, in size 48, and displays Hall’s number “1” over the reverse in dual-colour tackle twill. The blue note team crest in matching material exhibits repairs, with our example “hemmed-up” at the waist, shortening the length. There is a small separation along the lower front band, with a few small and random rust-coloured stains, with some discolouration over the reverse tail. This set was used briefly by a high school team, and originally obtained among a collection of thirty-five home and road Blues uniforms from the 1970-71 season belonging to a former AHL trainer who received the shirts directly from ex-Blues equipment man Tommy Woodcock.
