Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
A two-time Stanley Cup champion with the Big, Bad Bruins of the early-1970s, HOF goalie Gerry Cheevers returned to Boston for a second stint after becoming one of the first NHL stars to jump to the rebel WHA. Cheevers placed a bold blue marker autograph on the back of the handle of his mid-1970s Bruins Northland game-used stick, which retains his original tape jobs on the knob, upper paddle and blade. "30 Cheevers" is stamped on the shaft with Registered Pattern Number “0605” stamped lower down on both sides of the shaft. Game wear on this crack-free beauty includes black marks on the paddle. Comes with an LOA.
A dedicated ballpoint autograph below the knob is hard to make out but appears to have been signed by Cheevers.
