Drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in 1989, Fred Childress played his first two seasons of pro ball in the NFL, then transitioned to the CFL, where he played 13 seasons with four different clubs. A six-time CFL All-Star, Childress was named the leagues outstanding offensive lineman in 1998. This 10K gold ring with display box was presented to the Arkansas native as top lineman for 1998. Size 10 1/2 with an approx weight of 25 grams, the tableau is encrusted with zirconia stones surrounding "CFL" in raised letters, with "Outstanding Offensive Lineman" and "CFL" encircling the bezel in slanted, raised letters. The right shank sports a CFL helmet with "Stampeders" above and "1998" below, while the left shank features a Stamps logo with "Childress" above and "68" below. The inner band is stamped "IGO 10K". The ring shows just some honest wear from use, with light surface wear and scratches. The flip-top wooden display box has a small gold-coloured plaque inside with "Fred Childress 1998 Canadian Football League Outstanding Offensive Lineman" engraved.
