Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021

Acquired by the Los Angeles Kings on Feb 15, 2001 after parts of two seasons with the Vancouver Canucks, Felix Potvin would see action in 23 regular-seasons contests for the Tinseltowners during the second half of the 2000-01 NHL season, along with 13 playoff contests. This photo-matched Kings jersey was worn by Potvin in 2000-01, with the “Set 1” garment one of, if not the very first jersey worn while with the club. A sewn-down CCM “Goalie Style” label and size “58” fly tag grace the collar, with embroidered KOHO and NHL crests over the reverse neckline and bottom him respectively. Styled with an attractive Kings team crest with embroidered detailing and “Los Angeles” in single twill beneath, the purple tie-neck has been accented with textured tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with alternate crests over each shoulder. The fight strap is “closed”, with the clasp unopenable, with the team patch initialized by team trainer Peter Millar. Hailing from his personal collection, a signed LOA from Felix Potvin will accompany.
Sporting light game-use with a few marks visible including a stick mark over the left sleeve, an undated Getty Image (#147493223) has been matched to the two washed-out black marks in the left area of the team crest, while Getty Image #147493237 (March 2001) has been matched to the two washed-out black marks in the left area of the team crest.
