This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
A finalist for the Calder Trophy his rookie season, netminder Felix Potvin would tended creases for 14 seasons, with time spent with the Islanders, Canucks, Kings, Bruins and Maple Leafs. Presented, we have a blocker worn by the Anjou native, along with a unique game-used stick that has been signed by two-time gold medal winning Olympic biathlete Myriam Bedard. The circa 1997-99 blocker is a KOHO model in Leafs colours, with “Felix Potvin” embroidered over the side wrist guard. With screened-on identifiers, the blocker shows moderate use with marks present. The stick is a KOHO Revolution model with “Potvin” stamped-on, along with a date code of “25 Jan 1994”. The original tape remains on the knob, with the blade tape partially removed with white added over top, with Bedard signing across the tape, adding the Olympic rings with “94” and “2xOR” (gold).
The stick shows nice use with wear to the heel section along with marks to the paddle. There has also been clear tape added to a section on the lower paddle.
