Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
Making the move during the 2004-05 lock-out from the largest city in the United States to the largest in Canada, transitioning from the New York Rangers to the Toronto Maple Leafs as an unrestricted free agent, Eric Lindros would see action in just 33 games for the Leafs in 2005-06 before injury sidelined his single Ontario season. This stick originates from the 2003-06 time span, when Eric witnessed action with both the Rangers and Maple Leafs. A Bauer 6000 model with "E Lindros" stamped to the upper shaft and "3" handwritten, the stick retains its original white tape over the blade and handle (there is an "X" handwritten to the taped handle). Heavy game-use is exhibited on the lumber, with wear to the blade edges and underside, and marks to the taped section. There are also numerous marks and surface wear to the shaft, with tape residue from the stick previously being bundled with others. Lindros has signed the blade with a fine silver ink signature and has added “HOF 16” and “Game Used”, with everything displaying well. Hailing from his personal collection, a signed LOA from Eric Lindros will accompany.
