On the strength of a career-high 47-goal season, Eric Lindros led the Philadelphia Flyers through the 1995-96 Stanley Cup playoffs, defeating the Pittsburgh Penguins, Buffalo Sabres and New York Rangers on their way to a showdown with the talented Detroit Red Wings in the final. We have a signed Flyers jersey from that very season that was worn by The Big E, with this example photo-matched! A Maska label with handwritten “88” graces the collar along with a size “58” fly tag, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with the forever popular winged-P Flyers team crest, the mesh-style V-neck has been accented with oversized tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Lindros” across the nameplate in single white twill. Both Eric and the Flyers’ team trainer have signed the reverse of the team crest in black marker, adding “95-96”. A signed LOA from Eric Lindros will accompany.
Heavy use is exhibited on the desirable garment, with marks over the sleeves, shoulders and reverse, with a few large stick marks beneath the team crest. There is also paint transfer in spots along with faint board burns, with team repairs on each upper sleeve and over the lower reverse. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-matches, Getty Image #72519975 from March 3rd 1996 has been matched to the semi-circular black mark below the first "8" of "88" on the left sleeve, and to a few other marks on the lower sleeve, while Getty Image #72482950 from March 29th has been matched to the long black mark below the team crest. Finally, Getty Image #72520516 from March 29th has been matched to a number of marks on the left shoulder and sleeve.
