Team Canada won silver at the 1992 Albertville Olympics, and Eric Lindros’ shootout goal in the quarter-final against Germany helped make it possible. The Big E’s game-worn helmet from Albertville is photo-matched to Getty Images #1268066, where the black marks in the CCM logo on the right side of the helmet and the small piece missing in the Team Canada sticker above it are clearly seen in a Feb. 14, 1992 picture of Lindros on the bench during their 5-1 win against Czechoslovakia, two weeks before his 19th birthday. Lindros’ No. “88” decal is on the back and “Eric Olympic ‘92” is handwritten in blue marker on the right ear padding inside the helmet. Comes with a signed LOA from Eric Lindros.
Lindros had 11 points in eight games for Canada in Albertville to finish fourth in tournament scoring.
The front screw is missing on the left side of the helmet. The front right forehead padding is missing, but the rest of the inner padding is intact and the helmet has its chinstrap with vintage tape attachment on the left side.
