Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
The fortunes of Canada’s 1992 Olympic hockey team got a huge boost when Eric Lindros decided he would not play for the Quebec Nordiques after they selected him first overall in the 1991 NHL Draft. Lindros joined Canada’s national team program that fall and went on to help lead his country to a silver medal at the 1992 Olympics in Albertvile. Eric was 18 when he scored five goals and six assists for 11 points in eight games during the Olympic tournament in France. His 1992 Team Canada game-worn jersey is photo-matched to a medal ceremony photo by the small black mark below the No. 88 on the left sleeve and the white mark in the red stripe below that. The big black mark on the right elbow offers a match to another photo. Tackla size XXL flag tag sits in the back of the collar, which is customized in the back and front, and all of the light mesh jersey’s graphics, numbers and striping are sublimated, including “Lindros” on a white mesh nameplate. Comes with Eric Lindros’ signed LOA.
More game wear includes black marks and board burns on the front tail and both sleeves.
