Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
From the Stanley Cup championship season of 2015-16, the Pittsburgh Penguins fourth in franchise history, we offer a Penguins alternate jersey worn by veteran Eric Fehr in eight different contests from Nov 11, 2015, to March 20, 2016. A label with “58” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the classic Penguins team crest, “16” appears over the sleeves and verso in oversized, layered tackle twill, with “Fehr” across the nameplate in single gold twill. The fight strap has been signed by Dana Heinze, with a JerseyTRAK chip inserted just above. The team patch numbered “PH#T15163194” sits over the inside hem, with a matching LOA from the Penguins to accompany along with a JerseyTRAC document.
With a large slit and small hole visible over the lower front, there are also a few marks and three large team repairs on the left sleeve, with pilling on the inside lower reverse. According to the accompanying JerseyTRAC document, the jersey was worn Nov 11 vs Anaheim, Nov 17 vs Minnesota, Nov 28 vs Edmonton, Dec 18 vs Boston, Dec 31 vs Detroit, Jan 2 vs the Islanders, Jan 21 vs Philly and March 20 vs Washington.
