This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
This Toronto Maple Leafs KOHO jersey was worn by Belfour as he registered his 400th NHL victory, on April 1st 2003 against the New Jersey Devils. Known to switch jerseys throughout games, this was worn by big Ed specifically during the first and third periods, as well as overtime. The victory at the time placed him at 5th spot on the all-time win list for goalies, with him now residing at the 3rd top spot. A size 60 Goalie Cut tag is placed in the collar, with official MeiGray authentication tag affixed to the lower inner hem. A few stick marks are present front and back, with some red goal-post paint appearing on the left sleeve's number. Full MeiGray LOA accompanies this truly historic offering.
Carman Manitoba native Ed Belfour is the perfect example for youngsters to never give up. While not being drafted, despite leading UND to victory in the NCAA championship in 1987, Ed managed to carve himself out a very impressive Hall of Fame career with a number of NHL teams.
