The first European goaltender to lead the NHL in GAA, Dominik Hasek earned considerable awards and accolades throughout his HOF career, and sports the highest career saves percentage in history. A six-time Vezina winner, Hasek also hoisted the Stanley Cup with Detroit in 2002 and 2008. Hailing from the 2001-02 season, his first year in Detroit in which he registed a league leading 41 wins and helped Motown to their 10th Stanley Cup in franchise history as well as the first of his career, offered here is this stick used by Hasek during the monumental season. A Louisville TPS made twig with "Hasek" factory graphics in red over the shaft, a factory production stamp reading "2071 D" is found on the underside of the lower shaft as well. Retaining its original white tape job over the handle/knob, blade and lower paddle with the upper portion shaved down to Dominik's liking, the stick displays with lighter but still excellent game-wear throughout its entirety including puck marks over both sides of the blade tape and paddle, paint loss to the bottom edge of the paddle on the backhand side, paint loss/scuffing over the forehand side of the upper shaft, puck marks over the upper shaft and a few spots of red post paint transfer on the reverse side of the upper shaft, it is also worth noting that there is a small dent at the top edge of the heel and that other marks/abrasions are found throughout while the stick remains free from any cracks or breaks.
