Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
The legendary trio of Gordie Howe (d. 2016), Sid Abel (d. 2000), and Ted Lindsay (d. 2019) formed Detroit’s famous Production Line and captured Stanley Cups together in 1950 and 1952. Eventually, the three would be reunited as members of the Hockey Hall of Fame and their legacy remains an important part of the game’s history. With this dazzling framed card stock lithograph, the three Motor City icons are reunited in the form of art by Darryl Vlasak. Beautifully matted and framed (original lithograph measures 27” x 29 ½”, 34 ½” x 38” in frame), each player signed their name and respective numbers beneath their likeness in bold blue ink. The artist also added a signature in pencil at the bottom right. Numbered 257/1297, a LOA for Classic Auctions will accompany this piece which would be treasured by Red Wings fans everywhere.
