Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/2/2023
After six seasons with the Detroit Red Wings where the Winnipegger was considered the best netminder in the game, Terry Sawchuk was traded by the Red Wings to Boston in 1955 as the club was banking on minor league goaltender Glenn Hall. Two seasons would be spent in Beantown before his triumphant return to Motor City. We have a photo signed by the deceased legend with the autograph graded NM-MT 8 by PSA/DNA. At 4" x 6" and pictured in his Bruins uniform in a typical goaltender pose, Terry has signed over the bottom left in ballpoint, with the signature bright with no issues. The photo itself appears to exhibit some corner creases and minimal wear. We should also note a few scratches to the PSA holder.
