Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
Instrumental in helping develop the modern game of hockey, Lester Patrick – along with his brother Frank – formed the Pacific Coast Hockey Association in 1911, with many rules evolving from the noteworthy league that are still in use today. Patrick would later coach and manage the New York Rangers, the position he is most associated with. We offer an original 1939-40 Rangers team photo signed by the deceased HOFer. Trimmed down slightly to it's current dimensions of 7 1/2" x 9 1/4", and glued to a slightly larger piece of paper, the full team is pictured including Patrick, with the players names along the base. The Silver Fox has signed over the left side in dark black ink, with the signature absolutely flawless. This is definitely one of the nicest Patrick signatures you will find in the hobby. The photo has condition issues including some creasing, surface scratches and indentations, but still displays beautifully overall.
