Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
Forever immortalized as the first netminder to regularly don facial protection, Jacques Plante remains one of the greatest goaltenders in history, with his early passing in 1986 leaving a void for autograph collectors. Ideal for those searching for a superior exemplar, we have a gorgeous vintage 1950s postcard signed by the timeless legend. Depicted in his traditional low stance, the blank-backed (there is writing on the reverse), black and white postcard has “Jacques Plante” at the base, along with French text that states “du Club Canadien de Montreal et representative special Molson” (Molson special representative). Plant has signed in blue ink, with the clear and bold autograph flawless. Adding considerably to the desirability, the postcard remains in very good condition, with some edge and corner wear along with a bit of residue over Plante's face - with this visible when the postcard is held at an angle. A JSA LOA will accompany.
