Acquitting himself with gentlemanly conduct recording a mere 36 penalty minutes over his 7 full NHL seasons; enough for a trio of Lady Byng wins, Robert Theodore "Bobby" Bauer spent his entire career in Boston, and served as a member of the vaunted “Kraut Line”, along with fellow German-Canadians Milt Schmidt and Woody Dumart. A four-time NHL All-Star, Bauer was a member of two Stanley Cup championships. Originating from the incomparable autograph collection of E. Robert Hamlyn, we have a photo signed by the 1996 HOF inductee. Snapshot sized at 3 ¼” x 4 ½” and picturing Bauer in a dressing room pose, completely outfitted in his Bruins’ regalia, his black ink signature has been placed above his image, with a personalization to Hamlyn added. Suffering a heart attack while golfing in 1964, Bauer passed at the age of just 49. This is one of only a few single-signed Bobby Bauer photos we have ever offered.
Sporting just a few minor creases and some toning, the small Velox print remains in very good condition, with no issues for the attractive signature.
