Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Scoring a memorable 10 points in a single contest against the mighty Boston Bruins during the 1975-76 season - an NHL record that still stands, Darryl Sittler served the Toronto Maple Leafs organization for a dozen seasons, with his number 27 raised to the rafters of Air Canada Center. This signed stick was used by the HOFer during the mid-1970s with the Leafs, circa 1976. A KOHO 221 Custom Pro – a model stick used briefly by Sittler during his career, “D. Sittler” is stamped to the upper shaft, with the original white and black spiral tape pattern over the handle intact with the blade tape removed. The bottom striping accent is in place, with Sittler adding a green ink signature and personalization, with some minor smudging and bleeding occurring.
The stick shows good game use with wear to the blade including the underside, with additional marks and wear to the shaft. We should also note a second signature that appears to be Greg Hubik, with his time in Toronto limited to the 1975-76 season.
