Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016

The rookie of the year with the Winnipeg Jets in 1981-82, Dale Hawerchuk would play nine seasons in Manitoba, scoring over 90 points in each (except his last season, where he still managed a more than impressive 81 points in 79 games). This Winnipeg Jets jersey was worn by the HOFer and 500 goal scorer in 1983-84, and it’s been photo-matched! Currently void of tagging along the collar, a large single-season CCM logo appears on the back hem along with an intact lace-style fight strap. Accented with a partially embroidered team crest and dual-colour numbers, “Hawerchuk” also appears embroidered on the nameplate. Great use is visible on the v-neck mesh, with a large stick mark on the lower front along with board burns and additional marks, primarily on the left sleeve. There are also fairly heavy areas of board-paint transfer along both the left and right sides of the lower hem. An LOA from Classic along with a second LOA will accompany.
Regarding the previously mentioned photo-match, the jersey has been matched to the green mark at the right of the CCM logo on the hem, on two included photos. The 1983-84 season would be Hawerchuk’s third in Winnipeg, where he would finish with 37 goals and 65 assists for 102 points in 80 games.
